Catalist is a private personal inventory service designed to help you catalog, organize, and keep track of the things you own.

Catalist does not sell your personal information, inventory data, or uploaded content, and we do not use your private inventory for advertising.

This Privacy Policy applies when you use the Catalist website, application, and related services.

Titles, creators, manufacturers, model numbers, serial numbers, barcodes, dates, values, and notes

You decide what information you add to your inventory.

When you use Catalist, we and our service providers may collect limited technical and usage information, such as:

Referring pages
Approximate location based on network information

Catalist may use analytics services such as Google Analytics to understand how the product is used and improve the experience.

We use information collected through Catalist to:

We do not use the contents of your private inventory, receipts, documents, or uploaded files to create advertising profiles about you.

3. Service providers

Catalist relies on third-party service providers to operate the service. These may include:

Supabase for database, authentication, and file storage services
Vercel for website and application hosting
Stripe for subscription billing and payment processing
Resend for account email delivery
Google Analytics for usage analytics

These providers may process information as necessary to perform services for Catalist and are subject to their own privacy and security practices. Catalist may change or add service providers as the product develops.

4. Payments

Payments for Catalist subscriptions are processed by Stripe.

Catalist does not directly store your complete payment card information. We may receive information related to your subscription, such as your plan, payment status, billing status, and transaction identifiers.

Catalist does not sell your personal information.

We may disclose information:

To service providers that help operate Catalist
When you direct or authorize us to do so
When reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process
To investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
To protect Catalist, our users, or others

6. Data retention

We generally retain your information while your account is active or while reasonably necessary to provide Catalist.

Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or other systems before being removed through normal system processes.

Certain information may be retained when reasonably necessary for legal, financial, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.

You may edit or delete inventory information using the controls provided by Catalist.

You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account by contacting us.

Catalist uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect your information.

However, no Internet service or storage system can guarantee complete security.

You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and should contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

Catalist is operated from the United States.

When we do, we will update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
