One place for personal ownership

Bring the useful parts together.

Your belongings are scattered across shelves, rooms, spreadsheets, camera rolls, and apps built for one hobby. Catalist gives all of them the same flexible foundation.

01

Organize your way

Create collections that match your shelves, hobbies, rooms, and routines.

02

Keep the context

Save the identifying and ownership details that make an item record useful.

03

Find it again

Search one inventory across every collection instead of relying on memory.

Capture first

Start with what you have.

Scan a barcode, search what you know, add a supported link, attach a photo, or enter the item yourself. Confirm the result, save it, and keep moving.

Scan a barcode

Start with the code already on the item.

Search what you know

Use a barcode, ISBN, supported link, or item name.

Attach a photo

Take a photo or choose one you already have.

Enter it manually

Missing metadata never has to block your inventory.

More than a list

Keep the details with the thing they describe.

A useful record holds onto the context you would otherwise lose. Add what matters to the item and leave the rest for later.

Keep the item recognizable

Store up to three photos and choose the cover you want to see.

Remember the useful details

Keep brand, model, serial number, condition, purchase date, estimated value, quantity, and notes where they belong.

Save the page you will need later

Attach labeled web links for listings, instructions, references, and other useful sources.

Organize without starting over

Use collections and categories, move items, or place an item in more than one collection.

Everything stays findable

See the whole catalog, not another silo.

Search across collections, narrow the inventory with filters, switch to the view that fits the work, and open the item you need.

  • Search every collection from one inventory
  • Sort and filter a growing catalog
  • Switch between visual, list, and table views where supported
  • Move items or apply categories in bulk

Questions, answered

The practical details.

A clear starting point for building a catalog you can keep using.

What can I catalog in Catalist?

Anything you own. Start with books, vinyl, collectibles, board games, tools, tech, or home inventory, then create custom collections for anything else you want to track.

How can I add an item?

Add items by scanning a barcode, searching what you know, adding a supported link, attaching a photo, or entering the details manually. Missing metadata does not block you from saving the item.

Do I have to enter every detail?

No. Add what you know now and fill in more later. Catalist is built for capture first, organization second.

Can I search across collections?

Yes. Inventory gives you one place to search across everything you have added, even when items belong to different collections.

Can I keep photos and useful links with an item?

Yes. Keep item photos and labeled links with the item record so references, listings, manuals, and useful pages stay connected to the thing they describe.

Is my Catalist public?

No. Catalist is private by default. Creating a collection does not create a public profile, marketplace listing, social feed, or public catalog.

What is included with Catalist Free?

Catalist Free includes 2 collections, up to 75 items, and the core capture, organization, and search experience.
